I had several tripods during my life but this one is a tripod where you can see, someone used a lots of brainpower to create all the little details. I need not repeat what everyone else is gushing over. It's an awesome tripod. I did not realize how so many new innovations can be squeezed into such a mundane item.
However...

I purchased the carbon fiber tripod on the Kickstarter campaign and have used it for a couple of years. The size and weight are excellent for travel and long walks to the shooting locations. I recently brought this tripod on a trip to Zion National Park. It weighs next to nothing in a bag which is a game changer. I can hike all day without it bothering me. Throw a camera on it and it really shines. Super stable and yet light as a feather.

I loathe using a tripod. I’ll do anything to avoid using one. Until Peak Design. I’m mechanically challenged and adjusting the legs of my old tripod was a royal pain. I have been doing landscape and travel photography for a while, which means that I have been using different tripods all over the years but until today, I haven´t seen anything like this option. I prevaricated over this purchase for ages and then bought it last minute before a trip to Iceland. Yes it’s horrifically expensive but it’s so light (i have the carbon version) but it beautifully designed and easily holds a dslr with a big lens nice and stable. The tripod is great, Nice to finally have a tripod which does not take up too much space.
Just two suggestions/reasons why I did not give it 5 stars.
1. Would be nice if there were retaining clips/washers for the rubber feet and spiked feet.

so light, so easy to use, even with an heavy Nikon D4 !
It's exactly the tripod you have to buy for traveling.
It's a non invasive tripod, but once legs are fully developed, the height is OK for 99% of the uses.

I love this small streamline tripod. It is small but mighty. It is so light and works like a dream. It's intuitive and comes natural when moving all of the parts. actually I expected to get this tripod by December or Mid January the latest before I went to Japan for holidays. but I only got notification that the tripod was sent on the same day I flew to Japan.
