I looked on line for such a device, I found nothing that supports the microphone. iPhone 7 won't give me enough talk time. Because my work can demand me to be on the phone for 8 hours, I hated my 7. The item works as advertised. I did not know you could only do the charge or listen to headphones when I bought. I hope one of the lightening connections will work to plug in the adapter to listen to older headphones, while charging on the other one,works. I didn't have that as yet so not sure. Int... Admittedly my intended use is not conventional. Purchased to pass music from iPhone to external DAC/Amp with ear buds attached. Absolute garbage. Had less than six months and used only Apple brand cables. It burned two Apple cables. I thought it was a fluke but it was it. Used it as directed.
