I wanted a minimal quick and easy way to remove my camera strap without having to unthread it every time or buy a special strap. I use Anchor Links to quickly detach my camera straps when I tripod mount my camera. I also use them on my PD tripod so I can sling it over my shoulder when I don't want to haul all my gear somewhere. They allow straps to attach/release quickly and securely to all your gear.
